New Content to Help You Through Winter


 

As Australians shiver through our winter period, Sim Racing title developers have been hot on the production line of new Sim Racing content. Here is just a sample of some of the new content that has been  released into the sim racing market for Q2 and Q3 of 2023.


rFactor 2

Completes Touring cars grid 

 

On May 22nd rFactor 2 completed its Touring car lineup with the final makes and models being released in DLC update. Mays update completed the full 2023 BTCC grid with the addition of the Team HARD Cupra Leon. 

rFactor 2 has managed to compile a stunning virtual reconstruction of the BTCC series which can be purchased in two DLC packs:

atch, Donington Park, Croft and Thruxton circuits in addition to the touring cars.


2023 update comes to Assetto Corsa Competizione

The current GT World Challenge Europe season has come to Assetto Corsa Competizione. Fans of Assetto Corsa Competizione can now look forward to trying out three new cars that accompany all the new teams and liveries to the GT World Challenge 2023 DLC update. New cars include the Ferrari 296 GT3, Porsche 911 (992) GT3 R & Lamborghini Huracàn EVO2. 

The addition of the 3 new cars in the DLC plus the release of the Mclaren 720s Evo as a free update earlier in the year, gives Assetto Corsa Competizione an up-to-date cars list of cars for racers to experience. 

The GT World Challenge 2023 DLC update also comes with one additional circuit to add to the tracklist currently in the game. Circuit Ricardo Tormo – Valencia will host round 8 of the GT World Challenge Europe series on September 16-17, but Sim racers can get an early look at GT3 cars on track with this DLC update.

 

 


iRacing Season 3 Build

iRacings season 3 build was introduced to iRacers and with-it new content for racers to purchase. The update included three new cars including the Cadillac V-Series.R GTP (LMDH), Porsches 911 GT3R (992), and Ligier JS P320 (LMP3). The new car release saw a comprehensive update to the iRacing services GT racing schedule with several series seeing a change in their car rosters to include the new content. 

In addition to the cars, two new tracks came to iRacing including Willow Springs International Raceway & MotorLand Aragón. Additionally, the Chicago Street Course received a facelift to resemble the Nascar layout that was deployed during Shane Van Gisbergens debut NASCAR Win.

In what was viewed as a long overdue update by many members in the dirt community, a complete overhaul of the iRacings dirt model was also released during the season 3 build. iRacing developers are adamant that this update resembled the most realistic dirt model they have ever had on the service.
